Australia Visa Requirements for Indians

Australia Visa required Documents for Indians
- Passport 1st& last page color scan copy (with 6 months validity of passport from date of Arrival in Australia.
- Previous Passport scan copies
- All Visa copies in Current and old passport
- 1 Visa photo 35 X 45mm, white background, matt finish 70% face size.(not older than 6 months or used in previous visa).
- 956 Form.
- Covering letter mentioning details of application, purpose of visit, travel details, who will bear expenses, and profession details. (If self-employed require on company letterhead).
- Hotel Booking – for Tourist.
- Day to day itinerary.
- Adhaar / Pan Card copy.
- Covid Vaccination both doses with passport number, date of birth and name as per passport.
- Bank statements for last 6-months updated with sufficient balance.
- Income tax returns for last 3-years / Form 16.
- Health Insurance.
- If Self Employed: Company registration proof/ Shop Act/ Partnership deed/MOA.
- If Employed: Salary slips for last 3-months + Leave approval letter + Salary account statements for last 3 months showing salary credited.
- If Freelancer: Contract copy / Invoices / Visiting Card.
- If Agriculturist: 7/12 translated in English
- If Student: School/College ID Card / Bonafide Letter + Leave approval
- If Retired: Retirement proof / Pension Order/Pension Slips
- Any other Financial documents: FD, Shares, Mutual Funds,PPF.
Documents from Friends / Family in Australia
- Passport copy
- Visa / Resident copy if not Australian citizen
- Invitation letter signed
- Address proof of stay.
- Relationship proof document with Inviting person.
Additional documents for applicants under 18
If you are under the age of 18, you should provide a copy of your birth certificate showing the names of both parents. If you can’t provide a birth certificate, provide one of the following:
- identification pages of a family book showing the names of both parents
- identification pages of an identification document issued by the government
- identification pages of a court-issued document that proves your identity
- identification pages of a family census register
If somebody other than your biological parents has legal guardianship over you (for example, adoptive parents or a court-appointed guardian), you must provide proof of their legal guardianship.
Provide adoption papers or parental court orders, if applicable.
Anyone with a legal right to decide where you live, and who is not travelling in Australia with you, must complete either :
- Form 1229 – Consent form to grant an Australian visa to a child under the age of 18 years (240KB PDF)
- a statutory declaration giving their consent for the child to visit Australia on this visa
Include a document with the signature and photo of the person who completed, or declaration, such as a :
- Passport
- Driver’s License
In addition to consent information, if you’re not staying with a relative or legal guardian, provide Form 1257 – Undertaking declaration (211KB PDF). The person you’re staying with must sign the form.
Business
A business visitor can
- Make general business or employment enquiries
- Investigate, negotiate, sign or review a business contract
- Undertake an activity as part of an official government visit
- Take part in a conference, trade fair or seminar. The organizers cannot pay you to take part
Business visitors cannot
- Work for or provide services to a person, business or organization
- Sell goods or services to the public

- A letter from your employer stating why you are visiting, your plans for your stay and
- Details of your Australian business contacts.
- Evidence your company is an active business, such as an annual report
- Evidence of prior contact with Australian businesses
- Proof of your current employment and professional qualifications
- If Employed: Salary slips for last 3-months + Salary account bank statements for last 3 months.
- If Self – Employed: Company registration proof/ Shop Act/ Partnership deed/MOA.
- Bank statements for last 6-months.
- Income tax returns / Form 16 for last 3-years.
